In 2018, UNICEF in Solomon Islands will start its new five years multi-country programme (2018-2022) with three key outputs to support the Solomon Islands national education action plan (NEAP) and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals.Â
Technical support is needed to support UNICEF in Solomon Islands to finalise its annual work plan with the ministry of education and human resource development (MEHRD) and jointly design its implementation plan. This includes designing strategies to implement the early childhood education and development, the children at risk and Disaster risk reduction and resiliency education programmes and identify key partners who can support the implementation of the education programme especially in the Guadalcanal province, where UNICEF is currently implementing most of its programmes.
Technical support is particularly needed for the implementation of a national parenting support programme in early childhood development (ECD), and supporting teachers in classrooms in identifying children at risk of dropping out and/or lagging behind.

Qualifications
