OVERVIEW OF CTG GLOBAL
CTG support and manage humanitarian projects in fragile and conflict-affected countries around the world. OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION
Since 2006, our client has been implementing a range of humanitarian and development projects in all regions of Somalia. With 6.2 million people requiring humanitarian assistance in 2018, evolving mixed migration flows in and out of Somalia, increasing access and donor interest in Somalia, programmatic scope for our client is growing rapidly. In this context, our client is developing a multitude of concept notes and proposals and is therefore seeking for an incumbent to support the resource mobilization efforts.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS
Role objective:
Under the direct supervision of Programme Support Unit Coordinator and overall supervision by Chief of Mission, and in close coordination with colleagues from the Project Support Unit and programme units in Somalia and in Nairobi, the incumbent will be primarily responsible generate a comprehensive brand identity for mission priorities.
Expected output:
Develop products such as info-graphics, reports, banners, certificates, name-tabs, dashboards, etc. following our client's style guidelines.
Align all Somalia publications, reports and products with client's graphic guidelines.
In close coordination with the Public Information staff, deliver creative and innovative ideas for print, electronic, web-based and animated presentations.
Produce layout/ design templates for key visibility materials
Improve and edit art-work, photos, charts and other graphic elements.
Custom photo editing (restoration, noise reduction, tonal adjustment).
Deliver creative graphic and technical solutions for use of new media (virtual 3D words/boxes, postcards).
Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
Education:
§ Bachelor's in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience and/or Diploma in /School Certificate with 5 years of relevant professional experience.
Work experience:
§ Minimum of 2 years of demonstrable relevant Infrastructure experience.
Geographical experience:
§ Minimum of 2 years of experience in Africa and/or Africa.
Languages:
§ Fluency in English and Somali are essential.
Key competencies:
Experience:
Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop (CC 2017);
Good working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro (CC 2017);
At least 2 years' experience in Graphic Design.
Solid understanding of printing process, photography, illustration, layout & typography.
AutoCAD, Acrobat), Web Design / Basic HTML and CSS knowledge will be an added advantage.
Show a clear and mature style of design, demonstrating an understanding of the communication requirements of a UN agency;
Proven experience of graphic production from start to published/printed product with knowledge of printing processes (offset and digital) and colour management;
Good understanding of new and evolving technologies and digital platforms;
Working experience in development or humanitarian environment is desirable.
Team-oriented, proactive, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and under pressure;
Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from various cultures and professional backgrounds;
