UNOPS is seeking to expand the Reporting and Data Management team to include two resources that will focus on enhancing the existing suite of BI reports available and developing related decision support tools. Whilst the resources will be based with the UNOPS Reporting and Data Management Team in Valencia Spain, these services will be provided to UN Geneva and its affiliated divisions and occasional travel to Geneva will be required.
Functional Responsibilities
The responsibilities and scope of the role will include:
- Review business requirements analyses for BI, decision support and process efficiency tools
- Prepare technical requirements analyses for BI, decision support and process efficiency tools
- Design, develop, configure, support and training applications, visualizations and data collection processes to support business analysis, process efficiency and decision making as per required specifications.
- Work on the development and transition of dashboard(s) to PowerBI
- Provide timely and responsive client support for Business intelligence reports, decision support and process efficiency tools
- Provision of training to ensure effective adoption and autonomous support of new tools that are deployed, including training design and training delivery.
- Provision of training to support optimisation of administrative processes.
- Perform other duties as required

Education/Experience/Language requirements
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent

Required
- Minimum 6 years of progressively responsible professional experience in the field of ICT, Information Systems, or other related fields.
- Minimum 3 years experience in conducting systems requirements analyses, design and development of decision support tools
- Minimum 3 years experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning system(s)
- Minimum 3 years experience with Business Intelligence, Power BI or SAP Business Objects
Desirable
- Minimum 3 years experience with data integration, cleansing, ETL related areas.
- Minimum 3 years of software development with C++, C#, Java, PHP or any other programming language.
- Minimum 2 years experience with Microsoft SQL or any other database tool.
Working experience with Artificial Intelligence particularly in applying multi-layered neural networks is an asset.**Language Requirements:**
English and French are the working languages of the UN. For this job opening, fluency in English (both oral and written) is required; knowledge of another UN official language is desirable.
