Action Contre la Faim (Action Against Hunger) has been conducting humanitarian programs in Somalia since May 1992. Currently, Action Against Hunger is conducting its humanitarian activities in Somalia focused on treating and preventing malnutrition, increasing access to clean water and appropriate sanitation, strengthening the food-security, livelihoods and thus boosting the resilience of communities in Somalia as well as emergency response via program bases in Somalia.
Goal: The Registrar is responsible for admissions and discharge of patients in/from TFC /OTP, their follow-up and statistics reports.
The positions and responsibilities
Action Against Hunger Somalia is looking for suitable Somali National to fill 2-Registrar positions based in Wajid. The Registrar reports to the Nurse, and his/her core responsibilities shall include but not limited to the following:
Objective 1**:** Monitor the admissions of patients in the Centre
- Welcome the admitted patients and those accompanying them ;
- Give them information on how the center functions and about the admission criteria;
- Record in the registration book all admitted beneficiaries ;
- Provide an ID bracelet to the beneficiaries ;
- Fill out the TFC/OTP card with complete data and target weight ;
- Refer them to the appropriate structure.
Objective 2: Discharge the patients
- Check that all the procedures have been followed ;
- Update all the discharges in the registration book and the follow-up book ;
- Give the discharged patients or the person accompanying them the treatment card and an appointment for the follow-up ;
- Remove the identity bracelet.
Objective 3**:** Manage the registration & follow-up equipment
- Ensure that the needed material (bracelets, ID cards, books) is ready before going to the field / the centre;
- Keep organised and clean the registration box & the registration items;
- Participate in the loading/offloading of the needed materials in the field.
Objective 4**:** Develop the statistics
- Develop daily, weekly and monthly statistics of the programs ;
- Enter the daily data in the database.
Who we are looking for:
Qualifications, experience and skills
Experience in relevant activities
Sufficient knowledge of arithmetic to deal with anthropometric measurements and statistics.
Precision and exactitude. Good capacity to work in a team
Good ability to communicate with others.
Good ability to write down records
Native Somali speaker – English will be an asset
